Yes you can, of course you can!… if you live next to Guadalajara city (Mexico) because Alex Raveland (Raveland Robotics) will exhibit during next June a good selection of his robotic artworks & Illustrations… all developed during the last years, from pencil/marker sketch to final digital illustration and then carefully printed, some numbered, some unique/one-of-a-kind, and all framed and signed.

You will be able to meet Raveland at La Coronilla, a traditional bar located in a beautiful historical building (Morelos st. #666) right in Guadalajara’s Downtown.
La Coronilla’s new Gallery area will be open next June 4th with Raveland’s exhibition, that night from 10pm you will witness a nice short-film selection from talented local film-makers and at 11pm the Gallery will be officially open, Dj UBL/Lost pilot will be in charge of the mixer with a remarkable set of electronic music.

Our great & professional friend from COPITEK sponsored this great event, helping us with the digital prints, they surprised us (as always) with their quality and express service!

Steve Rack, the brilliant mind behind I Like Characters, will organize an exhibition with a massive collaborations from artist and designers all around the world, all based in his lovely toy concept Toe Fluff. Exhibition will take place next July at the Post Modern in Swindon, UK.

Great artworks had been already submitted from artists like: Bubi Au Yeung, 64Colors, Tratinchica, Bubblefriends, Theodoru, Alex Raveland & Vomvon-Bombon, and many more!

Alex Raveland’s artwork is a great robot reinterpretation of Toe Fluff, as a new prototype of an antigravity robotic-devise ready to be test!. Vomvon-Bombon design a cute “peyote” gang, all jolly, all peacefully laying on the ground, waiting for the Spring sun over the clear desert sky… so lovely!

Don’t waste valuable time and join us! this amazing project has now the attention of the main digital arts blogs, websites and mags. If you want to join to this very unique collaboration project just click here: Toe Fluff

Coffee dreams!

Posted by admin on Apr 22, 2010 in Artworks & Galleries, Character Design, World wide web

We are not the biggest coffee fans, but somehow we know how much pleasure you can find in a hot cup of coffee, and when you get it in the right moment is just like a heavenly experience, isn’t?
“Soy, venti, vanilla latte, sugar-free (Jolly Coffeesburg)” started from a friend’s request for a lovely cute graphic, in order to place it in a coffee shop, the fact is that the client ever answer, but we really- really wanted to make it real… as a lovely cute kawaii-inspired artwork, as a kind tribute to this delicious beverage! and it is also the first artwork from our new series: “Well behave robots”.

Want some!? take a close look and tell us what do you think about it!

Cheers from Raveland Robotics HQ dear friends!

Posted by admin on Apr 21, 2010 in 3D modeling, Artworks & Galleries, Character Design, World wide web

Who will stop us now!? Well, actually a reduced sleep-time use to stop us every day, but now that we re-started our 3D modeling sessions, nights seem to be shorter and shorter. And our last 3D models look pretty cool, take a close look and tell us what do you think about them, but lets face it, we must move slowly in order to offer you a very detailed final artwork. We love to take care of details!
;)

Robots here and there, some cute, some fierce, a nice 3D collection. Enjoy it!

(Don’t forget to leave some comments, because we also love to read your comments!)

Wixarika tribute, Da’Flame custom design!

Posted by admin on Feb 20, 2010 in Character Design, Collabs, Production Process, World wide web

Da’flame an awesome resin toy by Monsterdam + Raveland Robotics, received a nice design and Wixarika culture tribute by Alex Raveland. With nothing but beads this custom design was a great experience, with the mind focused on Wixarika culture and deities it becomes into a mystical process, at the end this design is not actually a “robotic” one, but a real spiritual visual voyage.

We hope you will enjoy it as much as we did!! (a new “tradicional robotic Raveland’s design” is on sketching process ^_^)

Feel free to visit Monsterdam blog!
