A new “Well behave robot”

Posted by admin on Aug 17, 2010 in Artworks & Galleries, Character Design, Production Process

“The Guru” is the last digital illustration from the “Well behave robots” series, he is all wisdom and patient, he don’t like to be disturb when he’s meditating, trying to solve universal misteries or when he is trying to reach a higher state of consciousness.

If you want to know: “The Guru” lives happily in a mysterious secret garden, under a tinny mushroom, because he is solar powered, he is also eco-friendly :D.

Based on a pencil sketch, this is a vector-traced character with a photo editing process, ready to be print and be part of this very limited edition canvas print collection.

Comments are welcome! :D

Coffee dreams!

Posted by admin on Apr 22, 2010 in Artworks & Galleries, Character Design, World wide web

We are not the biggest coffee fans, but somehow we know how much pleasure you can find in a hot cup of coffee, and when you get it in the right moment is just like a heavenly experience, isn’t?
“Soy, venti, vanilla latte, sugar-free (Jolly Coffeesburg)” started from a friend’s request for a lovely cute graphic, in order to place it in a coffee shop, the fact is that the client ever answer, but we really- really wanted to make it real… as a lovely cute kawaii-inspired artwork, as a kind tribute to this delicious beverage! and it is also the first artwork from our new series: “Well behave robots”.

Want some!? take a close look and tell us what do you think about it!

Cheers from Raveland Robotics HQ dear friends!

OMMMM! (Sweet ohm)

Posted by admin on Feb 17, 2010 in Character Design, Production Process, World wide web

Illuminated robots are easy to find at Raveland HQ, “Ommmm (sweet ohm)” is a good example of a classic robot with a software disfunction, now this robot wants to reach a higher state of consciousness… in a middle of the jungle!
Believe it or not, after some months and a few mushies this nice relaxed robot reached the Nirvana, and its new friends: a kind tiger, a lovely snake and a loyal monkey are witness of that!
Take a deep breath and repeat after this illuminated robot: OMMMM!

New illuminated (pre-hispanic) Robot!!

Posted by admin on Feb 13, 2010 in Character Design, Production Process, World wide web

Tlaloc, the Teotihuacan lord of rain (and water), was the inspiration for this new Raveland Robotics version, ready to take part of the fight against the conquerors, this pre-hispanic vector-illustrated robot, that follows simple clean shapes, wants to keep the main Tlaloc’s characteristics easy to identified like the circles around the eyes, blue color over ritual ornaments and some others…

Beware humans!, Robotic Tlaloc 2.0 is ready.

Illuminated (pre-hispanic) Robots!!

Posted by admin on Jan 13, 2010 in Character Design, Production Process, World wide web

Huehueteotl as a “well known” deity in the ancient Mesoamerican pre-hispanic cultures (from Mayan to Aztec), is identified as the Aged god… For our new “Illuminated robots” series we chose this deity because aged-deities used to represent wisdom & experience… a vast knowledge that we’re sure must be the “super-power” that follows this ancient deity… and as robot it would be awesome to be a wise mecha!!

Thumbs up to this new illustration!!!

What happened with the Mimobot contest 2? :)

Posted by admin on Nov 11, 2009 in Character Design, Production Process, World wide web

Well my dear friends, finally the most awaited announcement was released by Infectious-Mimobot team, and guess what!? we lost!!
C’mon lets change that long ridiculous faces and lets place a big smile!! the contest was pretty cool, with lots of very good ideas, but to be honest we disagree with some of the selected Top-5 designs.
We feel so happy with our proposals that we decide to keep tracking a nice cool Flash USB-key manufacturer that would let us produce our “Forgotten Heroes” series. ^ _ ^
Here’s the link of the official winners announcement… and once again, the Forgotten Heroes 3D image (3d by Daniel Vanches) that soon or later will be produced!!
Big hug to all from Raveland Robotics team!
