Meet Raveland, the long time awaited solo-exhibition, started last June 4 with a great party, full of friends, cold drinks, good vibe and excellent comments about the whole artworks.
During June, you can meet Raveland at La Coronilla, a traditional bar located in a beautiful historical building (Morelos st. #666) right in Guadalajara’s Downtown.

Da’flame an awesome resin toy by Monsterdam + Raveland Robotics, received a nice design and Wixarika culture tribute by Alex Raveland. With nothing but beads this custom design was a great experience, with the mind focused on Wixarika culture and deities it becomes into a mystical process, at the end this design is not actually a “robotic” one, but a real spiritual visual voyage.

The “Meet Raveland” series is complete. The series has 5 illustrations, all based on original pencil sketches, all developed with a mix of digital & analog techniques: vector traces, scanned organic textures, digital image manipulation & pencil sketching.
As part of Raveland Robotics collections, “Meet Raveland” is a selection of robot based fantasy illustrations, all placed in magical and symbolic places: From Earth-evacuation scene and Mars surface to the Underwater Mayan sea, from a magic mushroom field to a Cosmic alignment right in the outer space.
“Meet Raveland” series will be print in a very few LIMITED EDITION posters & postcard collection, all certified. Posters will be numbered & personally signed by Alex Raveland.
(Stay alert! because every “Meet Raveland” artwork will have a related character plush-toy!)

Here it is:
Rs + Ms + Ffs + (XXL IC) + (^_^ WM) = ^_^ Rs!!!
(Robots + mushrooms + fireflies + oversized ice-cream + a lovely jolly watermelon = HAPPY ROBOT SCENE).
Based on a pencil sketch, “Lunchtime” is a vector illustration that show us an imaginary sweet scene where robots try to find the happiness behind the human’s simple pleasures.

Raveland Thoughts 
There’s always a little bit of nervous feelings when you start your own Brand project. As designers we use to be focused on other’s projects, and sometimes the solutions and options look “easy” and some fresh & nice ideas suddenly appears in our minds, then the sketches and dummies must be send to clients waiting to find that the clients agree with our vision… When you take your own dream as a professional develop and you become your own client and then your own desing supplier everything turns harder and takes much more time. Now, after so many efforts and sacrifices, here we are with Raveland Robotics™, our own “dream come true” experience, it took years to finish the main Raveland concept, overnight time to decide which designs should be done, lot of hard work to end designs and give the right finishing to Raveland Robotics™.
Alex Raveland & Vomvon-Bombon started sketching and designing more than 8 years ago, and now Raveland Robotics™ is real, we had done 5 framed digital Art-works, and 5 framed 3D Art-works. Next step will involve several clothing design that should be available world-wide by the second semester of 2009, Thank you for join us in this amazing experience of Graphic Design, 3D Modeling, Urban Art Design, Recycled Art, Robot Design & Character Design, and many other application of Art & Design.
